4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1/4 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon ground ginger

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions
 

In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, olive oil, ground ginger, salt, and pepper until well combined. This will be your marinade.

    Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.

      Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

        Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off, and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Reserve the marinade for later.

          Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

            While the chicken is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.

              Once the chicken is cooked, brush the thickened marinade over the chicken thighs for added flavor.

                Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

                  Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
