Ingredients

1.5 lbs pork tenderloin

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Marinate the Pork: Place the pork tenderloin in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring it’s well coated. Seal the bag (or cover the dish) and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for the best flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Sear the Pork: Remove the pork from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and allow it to come to room temperature for about 15 minutes. In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, add a little olive oil. Sear the pork tenderloin for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.

Bake the Pork: Pour the reserved marinade over the seared pork. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).

Rest and Slice: Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Serve: Slice the pork tenderloin into medallions, drizzle with some of the remaining marinade from the skillet, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with steamed vegetables or rice.
