Ingredients

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

4 cups water

2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust for sweetness)

3 tablespoons loose black tea leaves or 3 black tea bags

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Blueberry Base: In a medium saucepan, combine the blueberries and 1 cup of water. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, mashing the blueberries gently with a spoon to release their juices.

Strain the Mixture: After simmering, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl or pitcher to remove the blueberry skins. Use the back of a spoon to push through as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.

Brew the Tea: In a separate saucepan, bring the remaining 3 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the black tea leaves or tea bags. Steep for about 5 minutes, then remove the leaves or bags. Stir in the honey or agave syrup while the tea is still warm, allowing it to dissolve completely.

Combine the Ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the blueberry puree, brewed tea, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir well to mix all the flavors together. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.

Chill the Lemonade: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to chill.

Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the blueberry tea lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices for a vibrant presentation.

              Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                - Optional: For a sparkly twist, add club soda or sparkling water just before serving!
