1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional: Chopped parsley for garnish

Prepare the Steak: Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. This helps get a nice sear. Season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.

    Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Allow it to become shimmering hot but not smoking.

      Brown the Steak Bites: Add the steak cubes to the pan in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Brown the cubes for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness. Once browned, remove the steak from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

        Create the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the butter, minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Stir and cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly golden, being careful not to burn it.

          Combine Steak and Sauce: Return the steak bites to the pan, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce until they are well-coated. Cook for another minute to heat the steak through.

            Serve: Remove from heat and transfer the steak bites to a serving dish. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over them.

              Garnish and Enjoy: Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
