Ingredients

1 pound thinly sliced beef sirloin

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon grated ginger

¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean red chili paste)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

¼ teaspoon black pepper

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 cups cooked jasmine rice

1 cup steamed broccoli (optional)

1 cup shredded carrots (optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Add the sliced beef and mix well to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator to absorb the flavors.

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir-Fry: Increase the heat to high and add the marinated beef to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the beef is cooked through and browned, making sure to stir frequently.

Prepare the Bowl: In a serving bowl, add a generous portion of cooked jasmine rice as the base. Top with the beef stir-fry mixture.

Add Toppings: If using, layer steamed broccoli and shredded carrots over the beef. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish.

Serve: Enjoy immediately, preferably with extra gochujang on the side for those who like their bowls spicy!
