Ingredients

1 pound ziti pasta

2 cups marinara sauce

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

1/2 cup asiago cheese, shredded

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup water

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the ziti and cook for about 7-8 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, asiago, garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Combine with Sauce: In a separate large pot or pan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Add the cooked ziti and mix well to coat the pasta in the sauce.

Layer the Dish: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread half of the ziti mixture evenly. Spoon half of the cheese mixture over the top, then add the remaining ziti. Top with the rest of the cheese mixture.

Bake the Ziti: Drizzle olive oil and add water around the edges of the baking dish to keep the pasta moist. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, allowing the top to become golden and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
