Ingredients

8 oz (225 g) penne pasta

1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak, thinly sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper (red or green), thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta:

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Sear the Steak:

In the same pot or a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced sirloin steak, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the steak from the pot and set aside.

          Sauté Veggies:

In the same pot, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, cooking until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

              Create the Sauce:

Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce, stirring well to combine.

                  Combine Ingredients:

Return the seared steak to the pot along with the cooked penne pasta. Stir everything together until well incorporated.

                      Add Cheese:

Reduce the heat to low and mix in the provolone cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

                          Finish and Serve:

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top and let it melt for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
