Ingredients

2 sea bass fillets (about 6 ounces each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Fish: Pat the sea bass fillets dry with paper towels, and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Sear the Fish: Place the sea bass fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, without moving them, until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

Flip the Fish: Carefully flip the fillets over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the fish is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the fillets from the skillet and keep warm.

Make Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, add the unsalted butter, and let it melt. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, making sure not to burn the garlic.

Finish the Sauce: Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Remove from heat.

Serve: Plate the sea bass and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the top. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
