12 lasagna noodles

1 lb ground beef

6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped

1 small onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups marinara sauce

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups ricotta cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Lasagna Noodles: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.

        Incorporate Bacon and Marinara: Stir in the cooked bacon, marinara sauce, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.

          Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

            Assemble the Lasagna: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, start layering:

              - Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom.

                - Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.

                  - Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.

                    - Sprinkle 1/3 of the shredded mozzarella cheese.

                      - Add another layer of meat sauce.

                        - Repeat with another 3 noodles, the remaining ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese, and another layer of meat sauce.

                          - Top with the final 3 noodles and remaining meat sauce. Finish it off with the rest of the mozzarella and sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.

                            Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

                              Garnish and Serve: Let the lasagna sit for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!
