Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon active dry yeast

3/4 cup warm water (110°F)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 egg (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and active dry yeast.

Gradually stir in warm water and olive oil until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Sprinkle the pepperoni slices, mozzarella cheese, and Italian seasoning evenly over the dough.

Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, then cut the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces.

Arrange the rolls cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of the rolls for a golden finish.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.

Let the rolls cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 1 hr 50 min | Servings: 12 rolls
