Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or shaved steak

1 large onion, chopped

1 large green bell pepper, chopped

8 oz mushrooms, sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 cups cooked egg noodles

1 cup beef broth

1 cup cream cheese, softened

2 cups shredded provolone cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or shaved steak until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Sauté Vegetables: Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Season the Mixture: Stir in the salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Cook for another minute until the spices are fragrant.

Combine with Noodles: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles, beef and vegetable mixture, and beef broth. Mix well to incorporate all ingredients.

Add Cream Cheese: Stir in the softened cream cheese until well combined and creamy throughout.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the provolone cheese over the top of the casserole. Then add a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake: Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, let the casserole sit for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
