Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 green bell pepper, finely chopped

1 cup mushrooms, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

1 cup beef broth

4 to 6 sandwich rolls or hamburger buns

1 ½ cups provolone cheese, shredded

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add the chopped onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until the vegetables soften.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Add the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika, mixing well to combine.

Pour in the beef broth, stirring to incorporate all ingredients. Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until the mixture thickens slightly.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the sandwich rolls on a baking sheet.

Spoon the sloppy joe mixture evenly onto the rolls. Top generously with shredded provolone cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
