Ingredients

1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed

1 pound of mini sausages (your choice: beef, pork, or chicken)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon water

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon sriracha or your favorite hot sauce

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare Puff Pastry: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets until they are about 1/8 inch thick. Cut each sheet into strips that are about 1 inch wide and 3-4 inches long.

Season the Sausages: In a bowl, combine the mini sausages with garlic powder and smoked paprika for added flavor. Toss well to ensure even coating.

Assemble the Pigs In A Blanket: Place a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese at one end of each pastry strip. Lay a mini sausage on top of the cheese and then roll the pastry around the sausage, sealing the edges well. Repeat until all sausages are wrapped.

Egg Wash: In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush the egg wash over each pig in a blanket to give them a beautiful golden finish while baking.

Bake: Arrange the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.

Prepare Spicy Honey Drizzle: While the pigs in a blanket are baking, whisk together the honey and sriracha in a small bowl until well combined. Adjust the heat level to your liking by adding more sriracha if desired.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and then drizzle with the spicy honey mixture. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving for a delightful presentation.
