Ingredients

1 package of mini hot dogs or cocktail sausages

1 can of crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons jalapeño slices (jarred or fresh, diced)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated edges.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeño slices onto the wide end of each triangle.

Place a mini hot dog or cocktail sausage on top of the cheese and jalapeños.

Roll the dough from the wide end to the point of the triangle, enclosing the hot dog completely. Place seam side down on the baking sheet.

In a small bowl, mix the paprika and garlic powder with the beaten egg. Brush this mixture over each rolled pig in a blanket to give them a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves if desired.
