Ingredients
  

1 lb ground beef

1 cup marinara sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices of mozzarella cheese

4 hamburger buns

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Olive oil for grilling

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

    Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into burger patties.

      Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface with olive oil.

        Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through to your desired doneness.

          During the last minute of cooking, spoon marinara sauce over each burger patty and top with a slice of mozzarella cheese. Cover to melt the cheese.

            While the cheese melts, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

              Once the cheese has melted, remove the burgers from the heat. Assemble the burgers by placing the saucy, cheesy patty on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a few slices of pepperoni.

                Top with the other half of the bun and add fresh basil leaves if desired.

                  Serve immediately and enjoy!
