1 package refrigerated pizza dough (about 1 lb)

1 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color)

1/4 cup finely chopped red onion

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Olive oil for greasing

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil.

    On a floured surface, roll out the refrigerated pizza dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

      Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

        Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the sauce.

          Add the sliced pepperoni, diced bell peppers, and chopped red onion on top of the cheese.

            Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic powder evenly over the toppings.

              Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log, ensuring the fillings stay inside.

                Once rolled, pinch the edges to seal and slice the roll into 1-inch pieces.

                  Place the pizza rolls cut side up on the prepared baking sheet, arranging them so they are slightly spaced apart.

                    Brush the top of each roll with the beaten egg to give a golden color when baking.

                      Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.

                        Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

                          Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
