Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 lb ground spicy Italian sausage

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the spicy Italian sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Add the drained Rotel tomatoes to the skillet with the cooked sausage, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes to heat through.

Reduce the heat to low and add the softened cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and incorporated into the sausage mixture.

Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is combined and heated through. Remove from heat.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as instructed on the packaging.

Place a generous spoonful of the sausage and cream cheese filling at the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end, tucking the filling in as you go.

Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.

Top each crescent with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 8 crescents
