Ingredients

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, drained Rotel tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.

Stir in the cooked sausage, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

On a clean surface, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.

Place a generous spoonful of the sausage and cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

Roll the dough starting from the wide end, tucking in the filling as you go. Place each crescent roll on the prepared baking sheet.

Once all the crescents are rolled, sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and cool slightly before serving. Optionally, garnish with fresh cilantro.
