Ingredients

12 large jalapeño peppers

1 pound spicy Italian sausage (casings removed)

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat (or leave some seeds for extra spice).

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff each jalapeño half with the sausage and cheese mixture, pressing lightly to ensure they are well-filled.

Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the tops are golden and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before garnishing with fresh cilantro.

Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or snack!
