Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cups beef broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 cup heavy cream

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined, being careful not to overmix.

Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.

Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the meat mixture and roll them into balls. Carefully place the meatballs in the hot skillet, cooking them in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.

Cook the meatballs for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned on all sides and cooked through. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Allow the broth to simmer on medium heat for about 5 minutes, then stir in the heavy cream and bring the sauce back to a gentle simmer.

Return the cooked meatballs to the skillet, gently stirring to coat them in the creamy sauce. Simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.

Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper, if desired.

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

                    Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 40 min | Servings: 4

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve the meatballs on a large serving platter drizzled with the creamy sauce and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top. Pair with lingonberry jam and creamy mashed potatoes for an authentic Swedish experience!
