Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup beef broth

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 medium onion, sliced

2 tablespoons ketchup

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.

Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown the meatballs on all sides, then remove them from the skillet and place them in the slow cooker.

In the same skillet, sauté the sliced onions and mushrooms until they are soft, about 4-5 minutes, then add them on top of the meatballs in the slow cooker.

In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, ketchup, and soy sauce. Pour this mixture over the meatballs and vegetables in the slow cooker.

Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the cornstarch mixture to the slow cooker. This will help to thicken the sauce.

Allow the sauce to cook until thickened, then serve the meatballs hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 6-8 hours (slow cook) | Servings: 4-6

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the Salisbury steak meatballs over creamy mashed potatoes or egg noodles, drizzled with the rich mushroom sauce, and sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
