Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Season the pork chops with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper on both sides.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the sliced onion. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer.

Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Mix well to combine.

Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over them. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes, until the pork chops are cooked through and tender.

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if necessary.

Serve the pork chops smothered in the creamy sauce, garnished with fresh parsley.
