Ingredients

400g spaghetti

2 large lemons (zested and juiced)

4 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

100g grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is fragrant but not browned, about 1-2 minutes.

Add the lemon zest and juice to the skillet, stirring to combine. Allow it to simmer for 1-2 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, mixing well to coat the pasta with the lemon mixture. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and combine with the pasta. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil leaves and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan if desired.

              Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 20 minutes | Servings: 4

                - Presentation Tips: Plate the spaghetti in shallow bowls, twirling the pasta for an elegant presentation. Top with a few extra lemon zest strands and whole basil leaves for a pop of color.
