8 oz spaghetti

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 cup pepperoni slices

1 bell pepper, diced

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain the excess fat.

        Add the chopped onion, diced bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.

          Stir in the pizza sauce, cooked spaghetti, pepperoni slices, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

            Transfer the spaghetti mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

              Finish by sprinkling grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

                  Once out of the oven, let the casserole cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil leaves.
