Ingredients

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1/2 cup sugar (or honey for a healthier option)

1/4 cup dried culinary lavender flowers

4 cups sparkling water

1/2 lemon, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Fresh lavender sprigs (for garnish)

Ice cubes

Instructions

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar (or honey). Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sweetener is completely dissolved.

Once dissolved, add the dried lavender flowers and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat, cover, and let the lavender syrup steep for about 30 minutes. This will allow the flavors to infuse.

Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or jar, discarding the lavender flowers. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature.

In a pitcher, combine the cooled lavender syrup with the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 3 cups of sparkling water. Stir gently to combine. Adjust sweetness by adding more syrup if desired.

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the sparkling lemonade over the ice, and top with a splash of remaining sparkling water for extra fizz.

Garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs for a decorative touch.
