Ingredients

2 cups edamame in pods (fresh or frozen)

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Salt to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish

Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

If using frozen edamame, cook them following the package directions. If using fresh, steam the edamame pods for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender.

Drain and set the cooked edamame aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant, making sure it doesn't burn.

Stir in the red pepper flakes, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey. Mix well and cook for another minute, allowing the flavors to meld.

Add the cooked edamame pods to the skillet, tossing them until they are evenly coated with the spicy garlic sauce. Let them cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Season with salt to taste, adjusting as necessary to your preference.

Remove from heat and transfer the edamame to a serving dish.

Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
