Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded cabbage (purple or green)

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 avocado, sliced

1 lime, cut into wedges

Optional: hot sauce for serving

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated in the spice mixture.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

While the shrimp are cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for about 15-20 seconds until soft.

Assemble the tacos by placing a few shrimp on each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and sliced avocado. Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top.

Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side, allowing guests to squeeze fresh lime juice over their tacos. Optional: drizzle with hot sauce for an extra kick.
