Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn tostada shells

1 cup shredded green cabbage

1 ripe avocado, sliced

1/2 cup cilantro, chopped

1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco or feta cheese

1 lime, cut into wedges

Optional: hot sauce for extra heat

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the shrimp evenly. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Tostadas: In the same skillet, if desired, warm the tostada shells for about 1-2 minutes on each side until crispy and slightly golden.

Assemble the Tostadas: Place a generous amount of shredded green cabbage on each tostada shell. Top with the cooked shrimp, followed by the avocado slices.

Garnish: Sprinkle the chopped cilantro and crumbled queso fresco over the top for added flavor and texture.

Serve: Squeeze fresh lime juice over each tostada and drizzle with hot sauce if you want extra spice.
