Ingredients

1 large round loaf of sourdough bread

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Bread: Carefully hollow out the sourdough loaf. Take off the top cap of the loaf and use your hands or a serrated knife to hollow out the center, leaving about 1-inch of bread all around to create a bowl. Save the removed bread for later use (like bread crumbs or for serving).

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, artichokes, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Stuff the Bread: Drizzle the inside of the hollowed bread with olive oil, then spoon the spinach and artichoke filling into the bread cavity. Make sure to fill it generously.

Bake: Place the stuffed bread onto a baking sheet. Cover it loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Slice the top back on, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve warm with the reserved bread pieces for dipping!
