Ingredients

Dough:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast

½ tsp salt

½ cup whole milk, warmed

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

Filling:

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

½ cup cream cheese, softened

¼ cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup chopped pecans

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.

Add the melted butter and egg to the flour mixture, followed by the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in the diced strawberries, chopped pecans, and ground cinnamon.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 12x18 inches).

Spread the cream cheese filling mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams to seal.

Cut the log into 12 equal rolls and place them into a greased 9x13 baking dish.

Cover the rolls and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.

After rising, bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze on top.
