Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salt, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a small mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until well mixed to create the marinade.

Place the pork chops in a large resealable plastic bag or a dish and pour the marinade over the chops, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to prevent sticking.

Remove the pork chops from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Reserve the remaining marinade for later.

Place the pork chops on the hot grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

While the pork chops are cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Allow it to reduce for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Once the pork chops are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute for juicy, tender pork.

Serve the pork chops drizzled with the thickened honey garlic sauce and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
