2 tablespoons Thai black tea leaves (like Cha Tra Mue)

2 cups boiling water

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup evaporated milk

1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

Ice cubes

Optional: star anise or cardamom for added flavor

Brew the Tea: In a heatproof container, add the Thai black tea leaves. Pour the boiling water over the leaves and steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

    Strain the Tea: After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer or a cheesecloth into a pitcher.

      Sweeten the Tea: While the tea is still warm, stir in the sugar until fully dissolved. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

        Create the Creamy Layer: In a separate bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk until well combined.

          Assemble the Drink: Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the brewed tea over the ice, filling each glass about 3/4 full.
