Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 medium potatoes, sliced thin

1 cup carrots, sliced

1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup beef broth

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for topping)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for about 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.

Layer the Ingredients: In a large baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes evenly at the bottom. Follow with half of the cooked ground beef mixture. Add the sliced carrots and the green beans over the top. Pour the remaining half of the sliced potatoes and ground beef on top.

Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture evenly over the casserole.

Cover and Bake: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.

Add Cheese (Optional): After 1 hour, remove the foil and add the shredded cheddar cheese on top if desired. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the potatoes are tender.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then garnish with fresh parsley if using. Serve warm and enjoy!
