Ingredients

1 ½ pounds ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup mixed bell peppers, diced (red, green, and yellow)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Meat Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.

Shape and Bake Meatloaf: Transfer the meat mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, spreading it out into an even layer. Use your hands to create a loaf shape in the center, leaving some edges exposed for the sauce.

Add Marinara: Spoon the marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf, making sure it's evenly spread.

Layer with Peppers and Cheeses: Sprinkle the diced bell peppers over the marinara sauce, followed by the mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).

Cool and Garnish: Once out of the oven, let the casserole cool for about 5-10 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Serve: Slice into portions and serve hot with your favorite sides, such as creamy mashed potatoes or a fresh green salad.
