Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)

4 hamburger buns

4 slices of cheddar cheese

Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Continue to sauté until the vegetables are softened (about 3-4 minutes).

Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Sprinkle in the chili powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt, then stir in the diced tomatoes. Simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture is thick and saucy.

While the filling is simmering, preheat the oven broiler. Place your hamburger buns, cut side up, on a baking sheet.

Once the filling is ready, spoon it generously onto each bun and top with a slice of cheddar cheese.

Broil the sandwiches for about 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.

Finally, let the sandwiches cool for a minute, then garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley before serving.
