1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tbsp olive oil

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

      Layer the Fillings: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Layer the pepperoni slices, diced bell peppers, and black olives on top of the cheese. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the fillings, then add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).

        Roll the Stromboli: Starting from one long edge, gently roll the dough away from you to form a tight log. Pinch the seams and ends to seal the filling inside.

          Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with olive oil and cut a few diagonal slits on the top with a sharp knife to allow steam to escape.

            Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg with a splash of water to create an egg wash. Brush this mixture over the top of the Stromboli for a golden finish.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Stromboli is golden brown and cooked through.

                Cool and Serve: Let the Stromboli cool for about 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
