Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 lb sirloin steak, about 1 inch thick

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

3 tablespoons olive oil, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper, diced (red or yellow)

1 medium onion, diced

1 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Marinate the Steak and Shrimp: In a bowl, combine the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. In another bowl, season the sirloin steak with the remaining Cajun seasoning and a pinch of salt and pepper. Allow both the shrimp and steak to marinate for 15-30 minutes for maximum flavor.

Prepare the Steak: Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. When hot, sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare (or longer depending on preferred doneness). Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.

Make the Cajun Cream Sauce: In the same pan, add the diced bell pepper and onion. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the corn kernels and stir for another 2 minutes. Pour in the heavy cream and remaining Cajun seasoning, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine and Serve: Add the cooked shrimp back into the pan with the Cajun cream sauce and toss gently to coat. Check the seasoning and adjust if necessary.

Plating: Slice the rested steak and arrange it on a large serving platter. Spoon the Cajun shrimp and cream sauce over the steak. Garnish with sliced green onions and fresh parsley.
