2 cans young green jackfruit in brine or water (not syrup), drained and rinsed

1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

4 hoagie rolls or sub buns

1 cup coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Prepare the Jackfruit: Start by cutting the jackfruit into smaller pieces, discarding the hard core in the center and any seeds.
