Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup beef broth

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.

Create the Sauce: Stir in the beef broth, heavy cream, cherry tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Combine: Add the cooked bowtie pasta directly into the skillet with the beef sauce. Stir gently to combine, ensuring all pasta is coated in the creamy sauce.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined throughout the pasta.

Serve: Remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves and additional Parmesan if desired.
